Ransomed Soul

Jon Wilson is a guitarist and songwriter whose roots begin with his mother’s Catholic musical ministry to a diverse family influence of music steeped in sounds ranging from big band, folk, R&B, to prog rock. Having played with Black and Red Band, Rounding Third, Take a Number, and Happy Layne before joining Ransomed Soul, he crafts a style shaped by Eddie Van Halen’s fire, Jerry Cantrell’s grit, and Joe Satriani’s melodic precision. His music delivers both technical power and emotional depth, bridging influences into a sound all his own.
